Frequently asked questions

  • It means I’ve gone through extensive training in editorial skills, project management, and the specific needs of writers when they’re writing their books.

It also means I have access to a unique set of resources that have been tried and tested by other writers and book coaches and have proven to be successful in bringing a book to life.

  • Yes. No matter what your skill level, I can develop a plan to help you reach your goals.

  • Yes! I will work with any Speculative Fiction author, regardless of publishing goals.

  • Unless you plan to self-publish, no. There are no guarantees in the publishing world, and anyone who says otherwise is overpromising and not operating ethically.

Often times getting a traditional publishing deal is a mixture of luck and timing. What I can guarantee is that you will have a better book by the end of our time working together.

  • Yes. The offers listed are my baseline services, however if it doesn’t fit your schedule I am willing to customize it within reason. Variable rates may apply.

  • Every one or two weeks, depending on our contract, you will submit your pages to a shared Google Drive folder specific to you. Within 72 hours I will review them and submit the revisions for your review.

With those submissions I will request a date and time to meet over Zoom to discuss my notes, suggestions, and answer any questions you may have.

These discussions can also be used to help work through a specific issue you’re having with the story. Ultimately these meetings are meant to help you, so whatever help you need, I will be there to support you.

  • From the moment you put words to a page, your work is protected under US federal law. However, I know it can be scary to let someone else see an idea you’ve worked on for a long time.

Any work you submit is only accessible to me. You will have your own unique folder in Google Drive. When our coaching relationship is complete, I will transfer ownership of the folder to you.

Keep it as notes, or toss it. It’s yours to do with as you please.
